We commissioned Tony to take portraits for our bid for the title of European Capital of Culture 2023. We wanted to show the people of the city creating their own culture in a way that only they know how. It was important that the people were the star of the show and felt comfortable and relaxed.
Tony made everyone feel at ease from local community groups and galas to major sports personalities, he had a really creative eye helping to make the person the start of the photograph while also communicating their craft and culture. We needed a range of sizes and dimensions as the imagery would be applied to a varied media campaign and his technical knowledge and expertise was invaluable in ensuring that the full suite of portraits worked as a family regardless of how they were used.
